Why does a Titan X cost more when the proformance is so much worse than a GTX 1080?

Just because it's a generation older and Pascal has taken a noticable leap, though not as much as anticipated for Volta release.......
still the power of the older cards can't match the newer card. The actual value of a Titan X is 500-600 nowadays. A bit more VRAM for VRAM workloads, but other than that..... the past is the past. Titan X was never a huge gaming card either it was the better workstation card. Especially Titan Z
BTW thats a skewed price

Regardless of the branding that is what you call as progress. Back in 2015 the titan x is the fastest nvidia GPU for the reference design. The 1080 is faster but it only cone after more than a year after titan x. That's why it is not too far fetched to expect next year nvidia x80 card will end up being even more faster than titan Xp for a lot less than what titan Xp sold for.

Correct me if I am wrong, but those prices that are shown in UserBenchMarks are from the day they were released.

The Titan X has now depreciated greatly today, because of the newer cards beating it, even the GTX 1070.

As far as I know, the prices on UBM don't refresh and only display the prices upon their release, but I could be wrong.
