Using SDRAM and DDR (possibly) simultaneously/Different memory sizes

Hi, so I'm getting a new computer for Christmas, and I was wondering if this might be possible.
Within the listed specifications it stated that it's going to have 8GB DDR4 SDRAM but expandable to up to 32 GB RAM (as 4*8 GB RAM sticks). My current PC has 8GB RAM in the form of 4 sticks of 2 GB DDR4 RAM.

I can't recall whether or not it's SDRAM, but if it is, would it be possilbe for me to use the 2GB RAM sticks in the free slots to bring it up to about 14 GB in RAM? I'm not sure what the voltages are in the ram sticks and I'm not confident enough to try and overclock them and I'm not sure I want to try underclocking my newer RAM stick, so if it isn't possible I'll live.

Solution
the stickers on the RAM will have the models yes, but it looks like you're going to have to wait to see what motherboard you have.

I'm sorry I dont know what the new motherboard will be yet it didnt have that listed as a specific. Also where can I find the part numbers? Is it what's listed on the stickers?
