I just purchased a Dell XPS 8920 which came with 16GB Intel Optane memory and a 1TB HDD. I also ordered a Samsung 850 evo SSD m.2 and when trying to install it discovered that that the Optane memory was installed in the m.2 slot. I wanted to use the SSD m.2 as my boot drive and install Windows 10, Lightroom, and some other resource intensive applications on it. Since my system came with Optane memory, should I just leave it as is or is there a way to install a 2.5" SSD and use it as the boot drive while still leaving the Optane memory installed? I plan to use the PC for video editing. Thanks.
