today I got a new motherboard Asus Maximus IX Code as an upgrade to my Asus maximus viii hero. I booted it up without any problem (was using on board graphics for a video output) I've updated the bios and reseted it. then I plugged my gtx 1070 and got the problem with having no visuals. I know the card works well, as it was on my old mb. I'm using same display port cable and 34 inch dell monitor (model u3417w) it stays black / idle and when I unplug the cable I see a notification saying no dp source connected. Tested both pci slots, same result. I've checked every psu cable if it was connected well. my gpu has a led indicator that goes red if there is a power problem, so it stays white all the time.
how can I check if the pci slot is dead or not working? or maybe I have to enable or disable some setting in bios settings?

using came cpu - i7 6700 + coolermaster v750 psu as I was on my old system
