New 4GB RAM, Windows doesn't recognize it

I've seen countless posts with the same issues, yet, each proposed solution doesn't apply to me:

I have an Asrock g31m-s motherboard:

http://www.asrock.com/mb/intel/g31m-s/

Its RAM sockets are DDR2.

I bought a RAM with the specifications: "4gb Ram Ddr2 800 Mhz Pc2-6400 240 Pin", which is compatible with my motherboard, according to this website:

https://www.mrmemory.co.uk/memory-ram-upgrades/asrock/motherboard/g31m-s

I had a 1gb RAM + 2gb RAM. I took out the 1gb to put in the new 4gb RAM, so I should have 6gb.

Now, the problem:

CPU-Z recognizes it, Memtest recognizes it, the BIOS does not, and also, Windows does not.

CPU-Z:

Memtest*:

BIOS*:

Windows:

*(notice that the BIOS and Memtest photos were taken some days ago, when I had the new RAM in the slot#2, but by now I have moved it to slot#1)

I have tried several BIOS configurations which have yielded either no results, or the incapability of booting by the PC. I have cleared the CMOS several times to no avail.

I am aware I do not have the latest BIOS of my motherboard, and I have a certain fear about doing so, since the website claims it is a delicate procedure that could damage the motherboard, and the latest BIOS doesn't claim to have new memory compaitibility (msconfig shows I have version 1.80 whereas website shows the latest is 2.10 http://www.asrock.com/mb/intel/g31m-s/#BIOS) Is it that important the BIOS update? By now I feel it's the only possibility.

Thank you so much!

I've done that too. It doesn't boot. The CPU starts but the monitor doesn't, as if it were disconnected from it. There's no beep.

FML yes, I checked the publication info (I bought it online) and it does say AMD. Crap, I've read it some five times and I didn't notice. SMH.

So it's likely high density ram which is not compatible with the Intel chipsets.
