I have two computers and just bought a new ASUS 1080 TI OC 11G video card. Computer 1) i7-5930 K on X99 platform, and Asus 1080 8g video card. 2) i7-7700K, Z270 platform. Originally was going to pair the 1080 TI OC with my older 5930K computer. I have reasons as to not pair the new video card with the new 7700K, but wonder how much I would lose (if any) if I connected it to the 5930K computer?
