Description:

A few weeks ago, I had an issue with Windows Update; there was an error that appeared and the result was Windows no longer booted. After a day of frustration, I had to perform a clean install of Windows.
Starting last week a new problem emerged. My system froze and I had to shut down the computer manually. After it powered back up, I let it go into Windows and I was faced with a Black screen with an offset solid white cursor. I restarted the computer again and attempted to access the BIOS, the BIOS showed nothing but a black screen.
I called ASUS about a possible corrupt BIOS and they instructed me to pull my CMOS battery to reset the BIOS settings. After doing so, the computer booted back up, BIOS was working and later Windows. I that it was fixed, until I restarted my computer for a software. When the computer powered back up the BIOS was again inaccessible.
Any help on this issue would be appreciated.

Update:

After about 2 to 3 days of my computer being turned off. The computer seemed to no longer have the issue described above. I will update this post on any related developments.
