I need some help with my new pc. Ive only installed fortnite, minecraft and team fortress 2. While i play these games weird behavior occours. For example in minecraft the fps is capped at 60 but v sync is off ect and it stutters quite frequently. Also in Fortnite NOTHING loads, ive found out that after i press the windows key on and off it loads what ive pressed, and if i dont do this it doesnt respond. though in Team fortress 2 im getting a stable 180 fps. Here are my specs please help
-i5 7600k on an aio
-xfx rx 580 8gb
-8gb ram
-msi z270 m3 motherboard

Solution

Whats limiting your gaming right now would be your ram. You've got pretty beefy specs besides the ram. The ram stores data for a short period of time and dishes that data out to other components and when you're playing video games there is a lot of data being thrown at your pc so if you have 8 gbs of ram and other beefy specs those other components wont work to their max capacity so the more ram you get and the faster ram you get such as ddr3 to ddr4, you will get a better gaming experience.

i can assure you 8gb is enough, other than thee fact when im playing these games the ram usage isnt even close to 100%, the countless other pcs with 8gb of ram and simular specs arent having this problem anyway. My friend has an i5 7400 and a gtx 1060 6gb with 8gb of ram and hes gaming completely fine. justifying if 8gb of ram is enough or not doesnt make sense when games such as fortnite and minecraft are being played. though that brings up what i said before, how many other pcs with simular specs and 8gb of ram are having this problem? I can tell you now the ram isnt the problem

Yeah you're right horrible logic on my part lol my bad! But have you tried messing around with the graphics and resolution settings? or have you checked to see that all your drivers are up to date? It seems out of the ordinary for Minecraft to be capped at 60 and for nothing to load on fortnite with those specs. Fortnite should be running at the least at 30 fps.
