As the title describes, I put the SSD into the M.2 slot and I can not find it anywhere on the system on startup. My bios is fully updated and I am running on Windows 10.

M.2 SSD contains UEFI driver information within the firmware. By disabling the CSM module Windows will read and utilize the M.2-specific UEFI driver. That is if you did a UEFI installation of Windows.
Those drives are usually used as boot drives however you seem to be using it as a data drive.
