operating system not found after replacing the hard disk with new empty hdd on my laptop..i know that i have to reinstall an operating system so i tried installing it but no options of boot from disk showing on the screen..i also changed the primary boot option into optical disk but still nothing happens..

laptop model is sony vaio sve151b11n
old hdd is Toshiba MK6459GSXP
replaced with seagate barracuda ST1000LM048

No option to force optical in the BIOS? Sometimes you have to press a key within a few seconds to boot to optical disc even when set to primary. What are listed option in the BIOS? Is the disc an actual full OS disc, or something made by Sony to access the recovery partition on old drive?
