Hello. I know many people already asked this question, but i too need to be sure if it works.
First i am going to show you my pc build:
MB: ASUS Z270 TUF MARK2
CPU: Intel I7-7700k
GPU: on the way
RAM: 2x4GB Kit Corsair DDR4 Vengeance LPX 2400MHZ
SSD: 525GB Crucial MX300
PSU:CORSAIR CS650M
Going to run it with W10 Home 64bit.
Okay, so my question is, can i turn on my computer without my gpu? My cpu does have an integrated Intel HD630 gpu in it. Does it matter what cable i use in my mb ? If it is Hdmi or Vga? My Mb has both for the integrated gpu.Do i need to update my bios to use my igpu? Or do i need to do something else ? Thanks for all the help in advance.
PS: My gpu is coming in early January, i know the igpu is not for gaming. In the meantime while i wait for my gpu, want to use it for office use, movies etc.
Thanks!

Couple of off the cuff things.

RAM: Are you going with DDR4-2400 for a price reason? Cuz your motherboard/cpu can support higher frequencies.

PSU: The CS lineup isn't really high quality. For the price of the 650w CSM you could go with any number of better PSU's. You also don't need a 650w (tho the higher ceiling is always nice), assuming you're not going for a massively power hungry card, so you could even drop down to a 550w unit.

no bios update is needed. your Asus mobo should work with just the onboard gpu. It's pretty much plug n play just hook it up to a monitor and you are good to go.
Use hdmi, vga is just way old.

from this site: https://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-HD-Graphics-630.187948.0.html

"The exact performance of the HD Graphics 630 depends on various factors like TDP, L3 Cache, memory (DDR3/DDR4) and maximum clock rate of the specific model. However, it should be fairly similar to the HD Graphics 530 (see for gaming benchmarks) and therefore only suited for low demanding games like Overwatch or Farming Simulator 2017 (low details)."

Hi. Thanks for the quick reply!
I am using 32" TV with hdmi cable, but it has vga input if needbe. Thanks for the help, i am so happy it's going to work. Yeah i already done a research for the HD630 performance and it's not that bad for an integrated gpu.
