Hello,

I just got a new Motherboard (MSI Z270 Gaming Plus to be specific).

It looks like the Command Center software can be used for some type of Overclocking on the fly. Is this thing safe to use?

Also, there's like a "Gaming Mode" or something I saw that makes it run at 4.6 GHz (i7-7700k) right off the bat. Is this also safe to use? Or should you be doing some sort of manual Overclock testing before trying stuff like this?

Thanks!

I find manual overclocking always better as the software overclocks tend to use more vcore than actually needed...more often than not, way more. One way to check is go to Hardwareinfo and check vcore whilst under max load and see what vcore actualy is...if it is anything over 1.3 like 1.35 to 1.4..then it is pumping more vcore than needed.
