im not sure if a 450 watt psu is enough for my pc. My specs are CPU ryzen 3 1200, GPU asus r9 280x, MOTHERBOARD msi b350m mate, wd 500gb hdd, RAM 1x8 ballistix sport Lt ddr4 2400mhz, psu corsair
I have no problem overprovisioning a PSU a bit. Say 20%.
It will allow for a stronger future graphics card upgrade.
It will run cooler, quieter, and more efficiently in the middle third of it's range.
A PSU will only use the wattage demanded of it, regardless of it's max capability.
It's enough for the current system. The AMD graphics cards usually take a lot of power. So, if you wish to further upgrade your PC later on I suggest a 650W if it's within your budget or else go for a 550W. If you don't plan on any upgrades then the current PSU is enough.
