installing OS on a partition that already has OS

5. Do you have a boot/grub partition?
6. Do you have a swap partition?

if you install win it's override the bootloader, if u install a linux distro (and have enough space left on ur partition) then it's doable (can be quite a pain in the ass depending on ur distros and bootloader, etc)
