1) After buying new GPU, black screen with non-blinking underscore, fixed by unplugging keyboard before booting (doesn't even give me the chance to access BIOS)
After I bought a new GPU, had a problem when I installed it, upon booting my PC, I had a black screen with a nonblinking underscore.
I tried many things, but I found out that my pc booted normally when I unplugged my keyboard.
So I unplugged my keyboard everytime I booted my pc, and plugged it back in when I was on the Windows home.
2) Again black screen with non-blinking underscore, unplug USB doesn't work, fixed by reseatting RAM
A few days later, I get the same black screen with nonblinking underscore, but unplugging all the usbs doesn't work. So I start reseatting my gpu, and my RAM. My computer starts when I reseat my RAM, and this works a few times.
3) When using my Computer, ctrl-alt-del leads to black screen, long wait so I shutdown computer, black screen with nonblinking underscore again
But after using my computer normally, I press ctrl-alt-del, and instead of showing the blue windows menu screen, I have a black screen with my mouse. I wait for about 20 mins but nothing happens so I decide to shutdown my computer by pressing on the power button.
4) Plug HDMI cable into integrated graphics card -> USB Devices Over Current Status Detected -> Next time I boot black screen nonblinking underscore
I try everything I did before but doesn't work, so I take off my GPU, and plug my HDMI cable into the integrated graphics card. I did reseat the RAM but I don't know if it affected the outcome: my computer boots up but says USB Devices over Current Status Detected, and the computer shutdowns 15 seconds later
Now my computer is stuck on the black screen with nonblinking underscore no matter what I try.
All my fans do spin up, and USB devices plugged in still work, even though I have a black screen.
I upgrade my GPU from a Nvidia GTX960 to an Nvidia GTX1060 6GB
My power supply is the corsair VS450, it can supply 450W
Had a theory my power supply wasn't strong enough, but i'm not sure if it's the case?
Maybe my power supply is defectuous now?
Is my RAM faulty?
Is it a problem with my motherboard?
It is a problem with my BIOS?
Or is it a problem with my Hard Drive?
Maybe faulty cables?
Is there anything I need to check if it's plugged correctly?
