Hello, I'm having trouble getting a graphics card to show up in a specific slot on my motherboards. I have 2 ASUS p10 ws motherboards (https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P10S-WS/) and I unable to get a graphics card to show up in the second slot from the top on both boards. I believe I have ruled out the cards. It really seems as if I am missing some jumper on the motherboard or BIOs setting, however I can't find it in the manual and ASUS support has not been very helpful.
Here is what I have tried.
* One card (GTX 1060) in slot 2 does show up in the BIOs or Windows. However if I move the same card to slot one it works fine.
* Two cards (GTX 1060) in slot 1 & 2, only one cards shows up in the BIOs and Windows.
* Four cards (GTX 1060) in all slots, only three cards show up in Windows. (I can't tell but I assume it's slot 2 that is not active).
* Different motherboard, two cards (GTX 1070 ti) in slot one and two, only one card shows up in Windows.
* Different motherboard, two cards (GTX 1070 ti) in slot one and three, two cards show up in Windows.
* Reset the CMOS (button)
* Reset the CMOS (by battery)
* Re-install the drivers.
* Swapped the power cables and cards all around.
Does anyone have any other advice for getting a GPU to be recognized in that specific slot? The only thing I have not tried is plugging in an AMD GPU into the slot, I have a RX 580 I could try, I just don't want to cannibalize another machine for news that the motherboard would only support AMD GPUs...
Could it just not work with the NVIDIA GPUs since this is a crossfire support board?
