Ahhhhhh. Upgraded mobo and cpu, gpu is no longer detected.

Heres the specs before the upgrade:
amd fx 6300
gigabyte 970ud3p
evo 212
hyperx 1600mhz ddr3 8gb ram
cx600
gigabyte r9 280

Heres what I changed:
mobo > z77a-g45
cpu>i5 3570k

I did not do a clean install of windows, but i really doubt that could be the reason to my problem. After the upgrade when windows understood what is going on, I finally got to windows using the iGpu as the output to my monitor, thinking that the gpu just needs reinstalliation of drivers as I got no output from it. So the windows finished downloading the drivers (judging from task managers info) and when i tried to install the cards drivers it told that there's no amd gpu in the system. I checked HWmonitor, and indeed, the gpu was not detected. Then I noticed that well, the cards fans werent even turning, so it means that its prob not getting any power. I double checked the wiring, did CMOS reset, tried different pcie slot, still no power to the gpu. Then I contacted the mobo's and cpu sellers, and they said that the gpu was working for them. I then remembered that couple of the cpu's connections were like blacker, wore down. I contacted the cpu's seller thinking that cpu is the problem (note: everything was working fine, including the igpu, apart from the gpu) and he said that he'll send me a pentium to test. I received the pentium today, and, to my despair, gpu is still not detected. I'm now at a loss, i could probably try a different mobo, but that would be a huge pain in the ass, and I can confirm that the mobo's PCI slots are working so idk. My plan is to get a different gpu to test, but like, the r9 280 was working right before the upgrade. So maybe any of you got any suggestions? sorry for wall of text, this problem is just very annoying.

I could probably get a gpu from my it teacher. But the current gpu was working right before the upgrade. The only think I could have done to damage it is when first starting the pc I forgot to plug in the pcie power cables. Doubt this could kill the gpu, as I once left a gtx 970 running without any power cables for few minutes, only sucking the power from the pcie slot.

Looks like i actually managed to kill it. Connected everything crucial to the "test bench" and turned on the pc. As there was no hdd connected it should have went to the bios. As the cpu fan wasnt connected i knew that the pc actually turned on because of the warm cpu cooler. And indeed, no fans spinning, no video output. F. Any way to fix it, would baking work? Prob hard to judge as the little [watch your language] up, which i let slide through my head probably actually caused this.
P.s. there was a chance that the pcie cable jut stopped working ( xD) so i connected the 4x molex to required pcie adapter, and still nothing.
