Crazy ram usage

I have noticed that even with 8gb installed, straight after booting my pc almost 2gb of ram is being used!! Could somebody please tell me what is causing this and how to stop it!

I just check mine. Boot up to window show 2G of RAM being used so it is normal for your system. I open up Microsoft Edge to answer your question, 2.5G of RAM is being used out of 8G. If you want less, then go to task manager, manually turn off the application if you know which one is not important.
