Bought A Motherboard That Doesn't Allow Overclocking

Hi. I bought the Asus B520M-K motherboard under the impression that is can overclock. I have since found out that it can't. Anything I can do?

You can't OC CPU on that board, and there is nothing you can do with that, aside from changing it.

OK, so where did you see info that you can't OC on it?

It's strange though. In XMP overclock mode it lets me change the max CPU ratio to whatever I want

So you can, just not to the level you want.
Then either you're doing it wrong, or your CPU can't do it.

But say i set the ratio to x49 (4.9ghz), the maximum I can run it at is 4.2ghz.
