I will be purchasing the parts for my first PC build soon and am trying to finalize my parts list. Does anybody have any suggestions on upgrades that are similar in price?

Approximate Purchase Date: End of December/Start of January (may buy parts here and there if they go on sale before then)

Budget Range: ~1700 (CPU already purchased and not included in budget)

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, surfing the internet, watching YouTube / streaming movies

Are you buying a monitor: Yes (Later on - also not included in budget)

Do you need to buy OS: No

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Amazon, B&H, Newegg

Location: San Francisco, California, USA

Overclocking: Yes - down the road

SLI or Crossfire: No

Your Monitor Resolution: 1080p for now - will purchase a 1440p ~a month later

Additional Comments:
- For the memory, I'm hoping to get the black/white G.Skill RAM. Should I opt for the silver/white version? Can't tell which one would fit my mobo's color scheme better. The silver/white version is also cheaper.

- For the power supply, I plan to get the EVGA Supernova G2 or G3. I believe both are very similar, so I'll just get whichever one is cheaper.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: Want to build a high end gaming computer as a personal achievement

I have the EVGA 850 G3 SuperNova. Great PSU.

I think you have all of the bases covered. And by that I mean I am drooling :)

Does that motherboard have an internal header for USB 3.1 GEN 2. If so, you might want to go with a case that can leverage that.
