Hello. I have a 4 year old quad core i5-3540 cpu 3.1 ghz pc running win 7 home premium. 64 bit, 16gb ram, GeForce GTX 660.
My pc is crashing a lot when coming out of sleep. If it does come out of sleep It lags when typing and my browser windows or win live email take 5 minutes to get a pulse.
My little evo 840 120 ssd is maxed and I will often have to dump temp folder and recycle bins to get some operating memory back.
I am hoping that upsizeing from my 120 to an evo 850 250gb will resolve some issues I am facing.
All I have on the evo 840 is win 7, some user data, email client and some program files that have been on the computer since 2013
I heard that I could clone/mirror this existing o/s ssd onto the new evo 850 250gb and I would not have to do anything else. Not even re enter my windows product key.
Can anyone please point me in the right direction before I hurt myself.
I am raising a family and really hope this can be solved easily instead of like some of the horror stories I have just read of others similar experiences. My time is very slim.
Please reply if you have some good tips and experiences.
Thank you!
