Hello thanks for looking at my post. Ive never built a pc from scratch but have done upgrades a ton before other then the motherboard/cpu.

So I’ve searched every where and many people have the problem where it will not show up on the display.

For starters my base components which are required to boot into bios are:

Corsair 550 watt psu
New intel 8700k
ASRock z370 pro 4 MB
VENGEANCE DDR 4 Ram 2x8GB
DEEPCOOL GAMMAXX 400 CPU Air Cooler with 4 Heatpipes, 120mm PWM Fan

Everything is plugged in fine. The cpu power the MB power and the power button. I think it may be a cpu issue which is odd. My motherboard has to be working fine because my cpu fan turns on. My ram has leds and they turn on so it must be getting power.

However I did notice my chassis fan will not turn on for some reason. It has 3 holes for pins but the connectors on board all have 4 pins?

So I assume 550 Watts is enough for just this?

My cpu says it says integrated graphics and the MB supports intel UHD graphics. I plugged in an hdmi, perhaps until you configure your graphics will I have to use DVI input?

I’m currently doing testing outside of the case on my wooden desk which I assume is ok. I don’t want to have to keep reinstalling every time I make a change.

Anyway any ideas?

Thanks for your help.

Solution
unplug the case fans. with four pin vs three the three pins fans will work you not have speed control on them but you have to know have the mb and fans are wired so you dont short the mb out. i would pull the mb with onboard gpu and one ram stick see if it posts. if it does make sure the standoffs are in the right spots and the io shield not shorting the mb out.

I have tried all that and nothing will work. I can’t test in other computers bc no other computers I have support my cpu.

I would like to know if there is a recommendation for best pc diagnostic tool to make sure the cpu and mobo work. Thanks.

Ok, try booing without RAM and drives - you should get error beeps from motherboard beeper.
Usually HDMI should work from the start, but indeed sometimes it needs DVI instead, so if you have DVI cable and your monitor has DVI port, try that too.
Everything is compatible, and 550 W is way more than enough without GPU, so assuming you have everything connected properly, most likely cause is failure of one of components.

Yeah I have tried without RAM however my MB doesn’t come w system beeper so I bought one and it’ll be here later today to check error codes. However my motherboard I believe has to work bc my ram has led lights that light up and my fans all work etc.

I tried the hdmi cable and dvi as well and nothing. So I’m going to try buying a pc diagnostic kit and see what it says.

Actually I think I know what is wrong. Bent cpu socket pins.

I looked real closely and I see a good 8-10 pins looking messed up. Could that prevent s pc from booting up?

Yep, it could prevent boot. If you are not certain if they are bent, post a picture of the socket, we will take look.
