Graphics Card and RAM suggestions needed for pre-built desktop

My father bought an HP desktop computer today from a reputable local retailer which we intend to use for our drone start up business. Our business will involve aerial drone video recording and photographing of clients' buildings for structural inspections and roofs for damage and gutter cleaning. My drone is capable of recording video at 4K. We plan to do basic video editing which includes merging separate clips into one continuous video clip during a single flight since my drone's SD card automatically creates separate video files of a flight after about every 5 minutes, adding some basic graphics like video titles, and background music at clients' requests. We are not planning to do Hollywood type video or photo editing. The sales rep said this PC would be capable of doing the job. However, when we had the sales rep open the case for us, and it was a relatively small case, it only had a single 8GB RAM stick, no GPU, and a PSU rated at approximately 500 watts. I recommended to my father that we add more RAM and get a GPU. I know that 4K video is not as demanding as 4K gaming and this machine will not be used for gaming. I am assuming right now that either a GTX 1050/1050 Ti or 1060/ 1060 Ti or Radeon equivalents would be capable of handling the 4K video demands. I also know that whatever video card we get is likely going to have to be one of those half-sized video cards. What video card would you guys recommend that would be capable of handling 4K video and photos? Also, we intend to boost the RAM. Would 16GB be enough for what we plan to do or are we better off with 32 GB?

The retailer link for the computer we bought is listed below. I apologize for not having more accurate specs.

Thanks.

The igpu is perfectly capable of handling 4k. Depending on what you are using for video editing, it may not be worth even getting a gpu. Since you are really just merging and adding titles, you aren't doing anything that needs a better gpu. Most video renderers are cpu only. With only a quad core cpu, 16gb would be fine.

An i5 with 16gb should be good. The usefulness of the card depends on the software you use. Some video and photo editing software makes good use of a card, some make partial use of a card, and some depend mostly on the CPU. I've seen benchmarks that show once you get to around a 1050, you won't see many gains, if any, by using a more poweful card.

Some software use OpenCl, which means AMD or Nvidia cards will work. Some use CUDA cores, which means only Nvidia cards will help. For this reason, Nvidia cards are the better choice unless you know for a fact an AMD card is best for the specific software you are using.

We have not selected a video editing software package yet. Am I correct in understanding that a GTX 1050 would be capable of handling 4K video and Photos?
