Hey guys. So...

I did a comparison, an i3 6100 and an i7 3610QM.

The i3 6100 renders 2 minute 1080p 60p videos on Premiere Pro in about 3 minutes and 30 seconds, my i7 3610QM laptop renders the same clip at around the same time.

Does that mean my i7 3610QM performs the same as my i3 6100 in video editing? Im trying to build a desktop and my first choice is the i7 2600 which is more powerful than the i3 6100.

If the i3 6100 performs the same as my i7 3610QM and the i7 2600 is more powerful than the i3 6100, it means that I would get a better performance if I build the desktop with the i7 2600 versus me, using my i7 3610QM laptop.

An i7 2600 and an asus motherboard bundle is around $130 in my country (used) which is a pretty good deal for me.

Im planning to get it and put the same specs of my laptop to the desktop. Basically, i'll just be "upgrading" the processor.

PS: My i7 3610QM an edit 4K very good, even if im using the Intel HD 4000 (but I always use my GT640M, I only tested if the Intel HD 4000, can handle 4K editing)

So yeahhhh. Give me advice? Thanks!!

PPS: I'm on a very tight budget so no chance of getting the i7 6700 or Ryzen chips.
