I have recently upgraded to a KFA2 GTX 1060 6GB from a GTX760. I also upgraded from 6GB of DDR3 ram to 14GB of DDR3 ram(8+4+2). I was expecting monstrous results, but I was very wrong. Having looked online for benchmarks for this setup I was expecting 80fps on max setting in Battlefield 1. When I tried it myself, i was barely getting 30-35 in combat areas. I have tried everything from reinstalling the latest/older drivers to switching my ram around so i can benefit from dual channel memory. My friend, who has a very similar setup is easily getting 80 fps on ultra setting in Battlefield 1 (1080p res). We tried rocket league as well, he was getting around 200fps while I was getting around 150fps.

My specs:
GTX 1060 6GB
I5 4460
14GB DDR3 RAM
H97M ANNIVERSARY MOTHERBOARD
500GB SAMSUNG SSD

His specs:
GTX 1060 6GB
I5 6500
8GB DDR4 RAM
Z270X ULTRA-GAMING MOTHERBOARD
250GB SAMSUNG SSD
1TB HDD

Everyone says that upgrading from ddr3 to ddr4 is useless, making a very minimal difference. I am pretty certain that the motherboard doesn't change much, so it can't be that either. PSU is 500w is it's beyond enough for these specs. Benchmark results are clean, except from ram which seems a bit low, although it can't be the problem, since Rocket League uses very little ram and the difference is still huge. I also tried removing my old sticks of ram, leaving in just the brand new 8gb one, benchmark results were the same. Processors are pretty much identical, making very little difference. There can be difference between our systems of maybe 5-6fps in game, but there certainly can't be a difference of over 50fps. Windows is clean of corrupted files or viruses. Is there something to do with the fact that I only have an SSD? Should I try to reinstall windows, because I heard that many people were successful after formatting their PC's. Can someone help me please?

TL;DR Why do I get lower than normal fps in games with this setup?

Google Chrome uses about 1gb of ram. Is this normal? When Google is closed it's usage sits at 23%.

Should be ok to be honest.

Check your CPU temps, might be throttling.
