So!

I've been having a few crash-to-black-screen issues, which only resolve on restart. I've been wanting to replace my GPU for a while, and since relatively high temps lead me to believe the GPU is the source of my woes, I'm looking to upgrade.

After researching the GTX 1070 mini (A normal size won't fit in my case). I looked at the GTX 1080 Mini and realised it was only £80 more, which imo is very worth it.

My build is as follows:

Zalman Z11 Case
Samsung Pro Evo SSD 256 GB
WD Caviar black 2TB
Asrock Z77 Exteme4 Motherboard (Side note: I only use the built in sound card, but I very much enjoy my music, could I benefit from getting a dedicated card or is the difference small?)
Nvidia GTX 670
i5 3470
Corsair Vengeance ram (About 32GB)
Corsair CX 750W

My questions are:

I have heard people having similar issues due to a PSU problem, and also been advised that the CX isn't the best of PSUs. It is only two years old, but if I still see issues I will look to this next. Would it be better to sacrifice some power, and get a 650W PSU, but better 'quality'? Will this be enough for the 1080, what would you recommend?

Will my i5 3470 impact the performance of my 1080?

Will the Zotec 1080 mini fit in my Asrock Z77 Extreme4 Motherboard?

Lastly, I only have a 60Hz 1080P monitor at the moment. I know a 1080 is seriously overkill, but I will likely get a new monitor when I get my bonus 6 months from now, or next christmas/birthday (Jan). What 4K monitors would you recommend? I have a 24" monitor at the moment, and I believe the size to be pretty perfect. I wouldn't want to go bigger than 26".

OR, would you recommend 1440p, 144Hz instead?

Thanks in advance!
