Hey all,

Sorry in advance, I know you guys probably get asked this stuff 1000 times a day, but from my 2 hours of googling i havent got a thread that had helped me a great deal...

So i want to get my memory running at 1333mhz instead of the 1066mhz its at now... (btw this is a muck around computer that im using to practice overclocking and bios tinkering, i know that upping the ram frequency will yield little performance benefits)... anyways, i have been to the bios and currently im set to..

System memory multiplier (spd) - auto
Mem frequency 1333 - 1066
Dram timing selectable - auto

Timing control says 9 9 9 24
Ram voltage 1.5
Cpu z says my ratio is 5:8 if that helps aswell

Now i can change all these values, when i change system memory multiplier to 4.0 (instead of 3.2) it changes the frequency to 1333mhz... but then the pc fails to boot properly so does some auto restore to previous settings, and boots. Ive tried to see if there is a manual that gives me the timing, voltage and frequency for getting 1333mhz with this ram but no luck...

Motherboard says:
Fsb1333
Ddr3 1066

I guess that means the ram cant hit 1333mhz because of the mobo?

Computer:
Gigabyte g41mt-es2h
Intel core 2 quad q9650
2xKingston kvr1333d3n9/4G
Radeon hd 7850

Thanks for any responses and clarity, sorry if this is a waste of time
