So i bought a pc last week, its got a fx 6300, a gigabyte 970a-ds3p motherboard, 2x4gb corsair vengeance ram, a sapphire r9 270x and a 500gb HHD and a corsair VS450 psu. A nice little office pc for only £100. But after using it for a while i find that it keeps freezing up, more than i'v ever experienced before. When it freezes, the whole pc in completely un-usable and wont respond to any keyboard commands. I simply have to wait 5-10minutes and then it un-freezes and i can carry on with what im doing. Another problem is that when im playing World of Warcraft, mainly during raids (alot of players, and alot of stuff going on) despite my gpu being at only around 30% and cpu around 40-50% usage, the PC fully crashes and turns off instantly. I'v also had that crash in a few other games. Checked event viewer and it showed a Critical Kernal Power Event ID 41 whenever it crashes. Iv tested the hard drive health just to be sure and thats fine. Only other thing i can think of is that a corsair vs 450 (not the best from corsair from what i'v heard) is just not quite enough for it. Im pretty sure the fx series and r9 200 series aren't exactly very power efficient. Any suggestions would be great and if anyone has any questions feel free to ask!! Thanks everyone! Matt.

It's either:
A. the motherboard is going out (not the best mobo)
B. the vs 450 which should be anough is have problems
C. another device is causing power spikes

Is this a used pc?

Yes its a second hand pc

Then it's either the board or psu. Try psu first.
