Trying to put together a new pc . After installing a new cpu and connecting everything to the power supply , there's a red light that turns on (cpu) the power supply fan and cpu fan start for a second and then it all stops .
Motherboard z370 aorus ultra gaming ( new) ,
cpu intel core i7-7700k 7th generation processor unlocked ( new) ,
cpu cooler arctic freezer 13 ( new),
video card radeon rx480 8gb ddr5 ( used ) ,
hdds one seagate 1tb sata and one dell 1tb sata(both used) ,
ram 2x8gb G.Skill ripjaws v ddr4 (new) ,
power supply thermaltake hamburg 530w(used) .
So i installed everything on the cardboard box the mobo came in while wearing gloves . I tried starting it with just the cpu connected ( no rams , hdd , video card connected and it wont go. Tried my old cpu cooler and still the same thing . When i press the power button a red light turns on on the motherboard ( the cpu light ) the cooler for the cpu and the power supply start for one second and the it all shuts down ( doesnt really start to begin with) , checked for bent pins or for any cables maybe i forgot to put in and i still cant figure it out . Can you guys help , am i forgetting something or is my new motherboard or cpu broken . Whenever i start the power supply the leds on the motherboard turn on for a second and then turn off . My old cpu doesnt fit on my new mobo unfortunately so i cant check if thats the problem. Someone told me i really need to put it in a case and try it then. The new case comes tomorrow and will try that then ...
