Turned computer on as normal and I could hear fan going ridiculously fast, got CPU Fan error. Loaded into the BIOS, disabled monitor and restarted to see if I could do anything from there. Fan is still running fast and Corsair LINK says 0 degrees, 0rpm, and 0rpm on the pump.

Nothing in device manager the device has disappeared??

Took computer apart and tried pushing the connectors in seeing if they were loose, nothing seems wrong there.

Anyway to make the computer realise the fan is there and running?
Not the greatest at computers so I'm limited to knowing the solution to the problem, if anyone has experienced this or knows how to fix this I'd be grateful of the help, if it helps I am running:

ASUS Prime Z270-P
I7-7700
Corsair H80i V2
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
Corsair Rm650x
Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD
Piece of crap 1TB HDD

The three pin fans have no step down or up control, they run at a set RPM the whole time. You can buy fans with the 4th pin that allows for that.

The cable/plug has 3 holes and is plugged onto a 4 pin bit (only covers 3 pins)
I have noticed I had the H80i v2 was listed on device manager, it's now disappeared and when on windows I can hear a device disconnected sound every few seconds
