I want to upgrade my AMD A10-6700 CPU. I'm looking at a AMD Athlon X2 370K Dual-core 4.0 GHz Processor at $60, and a AMD A10-6700 Richland 4.2GHz Socket FM2 65W Quad-Core at twice the Athlon. Which one would be better for gaming?

Firstly, if you already have a quad-core APU, why are you looking to upgrade? You would be downgrading going down to a dual core, as the quad core APU would help you out.

I digress though, and if you are in the US and feel the need to upgrade I reccommend the X4 845:

You will need a dedicated GPU, but it'll beat out the dual core no problem and perform better than the APU.
