Hi!
Newbie here
I have a VERY strict budget and i am deciding between gtx 1050ti and 1060 3gb i have heard that the 3gb version 1060 should'nt never be made. Why is that? Also is 3gb of vram enough for 3 years aaa titles at 1080p high 60fps. I have seen that the 1060 performs so much better than the 1050ti but it has less vram so which one should i get and could someone answer my questions.

The 3gb 1060 is dumb and should have never been made.
Sadly, due to the RX 570 being either out of stock or overpriced (due to mining) it's the best thing in it's price range.
Also, as many people don't seem to know it, the 1060 3gb doesn't have the same chip as the 6gb 1060. It's a cut down version with 128 cuda cores less than the 6gb version.

I paid $187 for the Asus overclocked version... sooo.. that was a good value that was nearly $70 cheaper than the closest Rx 580 and the same price as Overclocked 1050ti's.

1050 Ti $156. less FPS than a 1060 3gb

1060 3GB $200+ Sales dip to $180's

Rx 570 $230+ Slower than a 1060 3GB in most situations.

RX 580 $260+ On par in many games with a 1060 3gb only pulls ahead above 1080p or in those rare titles that demand 4gb+ Vram

1060 6gb $260+ Faster overall than all of these at the same price as the RX 580

So as long as the RX 580 is overinflated the 1060 3gb offers a great value for its price, if I was to buy a higher end card at these prices why bother with the RX's? You have to remember here most of us do not need massive amounts of VRAM, we do not play 1440p 144+ FPS or 4K and if we did mid $200 budget cards just barely cut the mustard.
