As title says, my dumbass plugged in a floppy disk connector to a fan slot and as I tried to boot it, it died immediately. Obviously my dumbass didn't know what was up so I continued to power it up. First couple of tries the led lights powered up but it stopped afterwards. What else should I expect to be broken so I can prepare myself for the worst?

Solution
Basically anything that takes it's power directly from MoBo could've been fried. That includes: CPU, RAM, GPU, all PCI-E cards (e.g wi-fi card) and M.2 SSD.

Though, it's highly unlikely that you fried any other components besides your MoBo when you feed 3 amps directly into a fan header that can sustain only 1 amp.

The motherboard power delivery is propably fried and so is the fan controller. Like Aeacus said, it's pretty unlikely that other components that take power from the 12v rail are damaged. I would ask the seller/manufacturer if warranty covers this and if not, buy a new board and hope that the mobo didn't take any other components with it.

MSI warranty doesn't cover user made damage, be it mistake or intentional. In fact, i don't know any electronics manufacturer who would cover user damage with warranty.

Warranty Exclusions

5. Damage caused by operator error or operator fails to comply user manual instruction, such as, but not limited to improper storage resulting in product get wet, corrosion, fell off, squeezed or exposed to inadequate temperature/humid environment.
