I recently bought a Gigabyte GTX 1060 and it was working just fine with all the latest drivers on Windows 10.
I was playing DOTA 2 with a friend of mine and I don't remember the settings, but the system crashed.
Upon restart there was no display.
The system was on, the fans on the GPU were on, I could hear the PC turning on, but no display.
I connected the HDMI to the Integrated graphics instead. Nothing.
Then I shut down the system, removed the graphics card. Then turned it on again. And Lo! Display.
I changed the settings in BIOS from PCI to IGFX.
Then reinstalled the GPU to the PCI. (HDMI is plugged into IGFX, No display when plugged into GPU)
Checked Device Manager, and saw error 43 on the graphics card properties.
Took the graphics card to the service center, and it worked fine there. They asked me if it was plugged in right, hdmi plugged in graphics card or not. No issues found there.
Brought back the graphics card along with a friend's graphics card.
His graphics card worked without any errors.
So I did a clean installation of Windows 10. Same problem.
Since windows is sneaky and installs update even when I turn off automatic updates, I did a clean installation of Windows 7.
No errors in Device manager, all drivers installed. But still no display.
Please help me, I'm dying.
