i have Thermaltake commander MS-III case, with only one fan at the back as exhaust.

my GPU is Sapphire HD 7870 XT, PSU 500w (Fan up).. so i guess i have a negative pressure in my case.. my only case fan is 120mm with 1000 RPM..

i wonder if i removed it, will that make a noticeable difference?.

You can remove the shroud on the card and zip tie case fans to the card, but I would also recommend removing the side panel off your case to keep things cool enough. Sure it's a jury rig, but it will likely work if you can't afford changes right now.

That tahiti gets hot - remember it sucks as much power as a 7950 even though it has less RAM and shaders ... why they didn't call them a 7930 I'll never know.

So unplug the fan and give it a shot while you monitor temperatures doing whatever you normally do.

thank you guys.. i bought the case with only one fan at the back. i feel that it doesn't make a big difference because its only 1000 RPM and when i get my hand near it i don't really feel a great air coming out of it. so i guessed that its making a minor difference in airflow inside the case, 1-2 degrees. but I'm not sure.

I'm thinking of removing it and fixing it on my GPU heat sink along with another case fan.. because my GPU fans are going bad and i can't replace them now (long story).. i guess case fans might even have a better cooling on GPU more than its original dual-x fans.
