Hello!

One of my friends asked me to build a computer which is able to run fairly complex SolidWorks 2017 modelling. After some research we found that a P4000, 16GB RAM and a i7-8700k would be sufficient. The whole list looks like this:

Processor: Intel core i7-8700k
Memory: Crucial DDR4 2133MHz 16GB
OS: Windows 10 pro 64bit
Harddrive: Samsung 250gb
Graphics: nvidia quadro p4000 8gb
Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix Z270E Gaming
PSU: Corsair TX750M 750W
case: Phanteks Enthoo Luxe

How can i improve this build. Am i able to reduce the power of the motherboard/PSU to save some money. Thank you in advance!

Thank you! Do you have a recommendation for a cheaper motherboard which supports the rest of my build?

Is this because of the 1151 socket? Would it be the same problem with a i7 7700k?
