Crosshair vi motherboard displaying error code

I’m building a custom pc and my motherboard won’t even run bios. Once everything is installed I click start on the motherboard and all it does display a q code of 8 (not 08 or 80). I returned the first mobo and got another one but the same issue occurred. Any possible fixes?

Have you tried testing the board outside the case, only CPU and CPU fan installed, both 24 and 8 pin power cables connected? See if still 8.

Ok so I figured it out. The problem with mine was the psu has two connectors that connect to the 24 pin and I forgot to connect the smaller 10 pin. It works Fine now!
