I replaced my old mobo, everything was working fine except that when I connect a pair of speakers and headphones, I don't get the option to switch between the two in the volume panel. I had the option before the mobo switch, so I don't know what's wrong with it.

3.5 for both.
What I want is to be able to click the volume button and choose "speakers" or "headphones". I had this option before I replaced the motherboard, and this simplifies things so I don't have to unplug my headphones every time to use my speakers, I can just click the option instead in the volume control.

It seems to be the drivers and I'm not sure why. When I uninstall realtek HD drivers, it gives me the option for speakers or headphones. When Realtek HD is installed, I don't get the option- both are listed as speakers, and I can't choose between the two. I can only change it by unplugging my headphones.

My old mobo used Realtek HD audio as well. So not sure what's wrong with it.

And it isn't playing via both. If I have headphones plugged in, it plays through those. I just don't want to have to go to the side of my PC case every time to switch between the two. I've gotta get up, turn the light on, plug it in, turn the light off, and sit back down. It was much nicer with the options available.
