Is there a performance differences using 2 sticks vs. 4?

I will be installing the G.Skill Trident Z RGB 3600 32g (2x16). The 2 stick kit is more expensive but I'm a new builder and I wanted to leave some extra room so the Kraken x62 cooler fits without any possible clearance issues I might have with 4 sticks.

Are there any performance differences between using 2 vs. 4 RAM sticks that I should know about?

Yes theoretically dual channel eorks better than single channel but practically there might be no big difference.
