I am an experienced PC builder when using INTEL based CPUs but, I'm relatively new to these Ryzen CPUs and I'm fining it increasingly frustrating!
Hopefully I can find some assistance on here??
I'm using a Gigabyte AB350M-gaming 3 motherboard and a Ryzen 5 1600 CPU, the graphics card, DDR4 RAM and power supply are all high end and all recommended & compatible with each other (I checked all these parts from the AMD RYZEN recommended lists).
The problem I have is that on power-up the fans on the power supply, graphics card and cpu all start up and that is all that happens, no beep, no posting. nothing.
I have triede all the recommendations from breadboarding to using ony one DDR4 memeory and I still get nothing.
I have even exchanged the Motherboard and CPU and I still get nothing.
I have posted on here a few times for guidance (hence testing the recommendations from the feedback) but now I'm being led to believe the Motherboard doesn't have the correct BIOS version. Is there a way that I can find out what version of BIOS bearing in mind that I cannot power it up to find out?
I have to say too that the support on this issue from Gigabyte has been beyond poor!! One would think they could tell you from the serial number or similar but it seems that would be too easy.
Thanks in advance for any guidance.
