I recommend using a SATA SSD unless your motherboard already has an M.2 slot which is only on newer motherboards. SATA based SSD is fine even for professional machines. The only professional machines where your hard drive transfer overhead matters is in extreme computing or servers. M.2 drives are also far more expensive.
I see you are right. Most people choose sata ssd and not m.2, if we have a collection of hdd and a sata sdd, this will be good.Thank you very much jr9.

NP. The only computers that really take advantage of ultra fast buses like M2 are extreme enthusiast PCs and servers. SATA SSDs are good, HDD is OK of that is all that is available.
Sure sure, but if your mobo supports m2 and has a storage slot open for it go with that. its faster cooler and the direction we're moving. only do the older tech if you are trying to save money
