Just bought a new mobo and in the box were a couple of M.2 Thermal Pads. How do I make use of these, and where do I put them on M.2 SSD? Do they go on top of the drive, or below it (i.e. between the motherboard and the drive)? Doesn't say anything about how to apply them in the motherboard manual, sadly. I did some quick Googling but the results were ambiguous enough where I felt I should ask before proceeding.
I am concerned about the thermals for one of my M.2 drives, as the slot is located between PCIE_1 and PCIE_2. I have a massive graphics card in PCIE_1, and it completely covers the drive to the point where it isn't visible. I'd have to remove the card to access the M.2 SSD.
