Hi everyone
I have a very old pc, it's something like a 2009-10 one ( HP Pavilion P6000 Series)
it has a Pentium Dual-Core CPU E6600 @ 3.06GHz
4 GB or ram, pretty sure it's DDR2 ( were 6 but I had to get rid of it otherwise it wouldnt boot up)
And finally a G210 graphics card
all of which make any game unplayable

I googled up a new graphics card and I like the 1050, turns out it just needs a PCI Express and 300 watts minimum which my current gpu needs as well
My question now is, is it actually compatible with my potato computer? If yes is it any good to swap it because i cant afford an entire new PC :(

Thx for anyone helping me out. ( Sorry for any grammar or spelling mistakes )

I wouldn't even recommend it. Your whole system (especially CPU) would be a bottleneck for that GPU.

It's time to upgrade the whole computer buddy.

If you are looking for just a GPU because of budget. Try something like an older AMD HD series card. You'll find them for cheap and it would be more comparable with your current system.

If you're in the U.S., Walmart has been closing out an HP i5-7400 system with 1060 3GB video card for $499 or $399. It's mostly out of stock, but there are still a few around. A few stores have even gone to the next closeout price tier - $200. Use the Brickseek tool linked in the following thread to find a nearby Walmart which may have stock.

If you must stick with this computer, and you understand you will have to limit your gaming to what this computer can handle, then I suggest the HD 7750/R7 250 from AMD, whichever costs less. Or from Nvidia a GT 730 DDR5 or GT 640 DDR5. These are all 300W level videocards that can run games appropriate to your CPU level and they are all far better than a 210.
