Will my motherboard support this AMD FX CPU?

It's not listed, but it's just the same as a 4150 however you'll need to update the BIOS first to 1401. Other people are using it in this board with no issues.

I am very surprised that a FX-4170 is not on the support list.

Regardless, I would not spend a dime on upgrading a FX based system if you are a gamer.
The line is obsolete and the single thread performance of the FX processors are no longer competitive with current intel or ryzen processors.

@Geofelt

I can get that processor good as new for 25$, it's an offer I can't pass.

If I want something better I'd have to also shell out money for a new mobo, then new RAM, which I can't afford right now.

The price is right.
What cpu are you replacing?
