Hi all.
I have a 512 gigabyte M.2 solid state drive that I am considering using with an HP 14an012nr laptop. The motherboard of this laptop doesn't have an M.2 slot but it does have an unused DVD bay drive connector. If I connected the M.2 drive to the DVD bay drive connector using an adapter would the M.2 SSD work on this particular laptop? I would like to run Windows 10 and save stuff to this SSD.
The specific M.2 SSD that I have is "SSD X300 M.2 2280 512GB" by SanDisk.
Also, does anyone know what the technical term for the DVD bay connector on a laptop is called?
