Cable extensions question

I'm looking to get custom sleeved cable extensions. My graphics cards use 4+4 pin connectors. Looking on the sleeved cable sites they offer a 4+4 and 8 pin option. Can i use an 8 pin to connect to my 4+4's or do i have to use a 4+4 extension with the existing 4+4's?

Ok, so if it's a 6+2 then I would need to get the 8 pin option right? I'm looking on mod-one.com for the cables since you can get sleeved cables from power supply rather than just extensions. For my model of power supply they have 6 pin and 8 pin PCI-E.

I really need to not do this kind of figuring out while I'm at work and not in front of my computer I'm modding. I just looked up my graphics cards. GeForce GTX 1080 SEA HAWK EK X. They require 8 + 6 pin. And on mod-one.com for my EVGA P2 series power supply they have a 8 + 6 pin connector.

I assume that's what I need and now feel stupid asking before truly researching, but never hurts to ask. Thanks for your quick response though. Much appreciated.
