can I use microphone through PC monitor?

Hello guys, recently I got new 27' Dell S2716DG and it has usb ports on it. I was wondering if USB soundcard would allow me to use headset through the monitor. would it work?

According to the site you can use headphones keyboard, a mouse. I dont think you can connect a USB soundcard to it

Just connect headphones to one of the downstream USB ports. You have to connect USB from the PC, to the upstream port tor it to be of any use, I think
