Hi. I have been wanting to upgrade for a while and recently I ordered a MSI GTX 750 ti OC 2G DDR5 online. it will arrive in a few days and I just want to know if it will work on my PC because my motherboard only support Legacy BIOS and I heard that newer video cards only support UEFI BIOS. However I heard that this version of the GTX 750 ti comes with a switch that enables you to choose between Legacy and UEFI BIOS. Can someone confirm for me please?

I looked it up and I have an HP Compaq 8100 Elite Convertible Minitower PC with a 304bh motherboard. Would ppreciate any response. thanks

I can't give you a 100% guarantee. I will assume you have flashed the Bios to the latest update...correct? If not do so. From the 20 or so forum posts on HP I have only seen only 1-2 that said they couldn't get it to work while the vast majority did. Since you have ordered it give it a try and if no luck return it. Odds are it will work as long don't have one of the first few Bios versions.

yeah but my problem is, i'm worried the card wouldn't boot on my BIOS. Mine only supports Legacy and newer cards support UEFI only. No further BIOS updates were released by HP so I'm having doubts whether or not the card will run on my PC

yes but i have seen several cases wherein despite there being a legacy switch, some still fail to boot after installing the card. I dont know but my motherboard is old. Can you confirm that the card would work on my system?
