Just upgraded my pc and the included bluetooth and wifi is what sold me over a model that didnt have it, seeing as this does have some uses. After hours of troubleshooting, the wifi barely connects if it even can, getting download speeds on files at 100kb/s and frequently disconnecting.

As a few notes, the desktop is in the same place as the last one (that one having a network card) and the last one got fantastic wifi speeds, getting upto 9mb/s download speeds. Ive installed the latest drivers and the included drivers to no avail.

Im on a Windows 10, I have a 1000w power supply and a ROG STRIX Z370-E Gaming motherboard from asus.

Solution
Your board should have came with the antenna, wiring and pedestal for the antenna... if you look at the picture, the two triangles are the antenna and pedestal, the one triangle has the wiring coming out of it.

contact Asus and see why yours was missing the antenna.

An update, my signal is very strong but cuts off randomly and infrequently for 2 to 5 seconds. The only thing I can do to reproduce this is to click open the "Available wireless connections" menu at the bottom where you click a router to connect to, doing this causes the stall every time. It makes doing things online unbearable. I have reinstalled drivers, I am on 5GHz and I set my channel to ones far away from ones in my area and its just not improving. I changed the settings to high performance and not letting windows turn it off automatically, im out of options.

EDIT: Running a signal viewer like WifiInfoView, any time I look at network channels or "scan" for network channels, it cuts off on me.

This is with using programs like WLAN Optimizer, trying desperately to disable the background scans. I just cant get them to work, theyre too outdated.
