New graphic card blue screen error issues.. Please help!

Hi guys.
I purchased my 1st graphic card Asus GTX 1050Ti Phoenix 4gb. I've fit the card and the system boots well. But if i do any activity such as browse the internet or open a game, a bsod error shoots up. This happens even before installing the nvidia drivers. So i tried installing the drivers. But during the installation it again goes bsod. So can't install the drivers.. that's a fail.

So i boot into safe mode and install the drivers. It installs without problems. Then i reboot into normal mode. Boots well but the same issue persists. If i do anything it goes bsod. So im thinking it can't be driver issues coz its the same before and after installing the drivers.

Im pretty sure its not ram/hdd/mobo/psu issue coz my pc works well without the graphic card.. i have been using it for many years without any issues. But just to make sure i removed everything, cleaned the pc and refit everything back including the gpu and ram. The problem does not go away. :(

It can't be the psu coz its 450W and the gpu takes max 75W. Also, i'm hoping i don't have to reinstall windows coz i was happy with how it was before.

I had no choice but to remove the gpu and use it the way it was before. There's no problem without the gpu.

Here's the bsod error i was getting with the gpu:

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Then it dumps physical memory.

Here's my PC spec:
CPU: Pentium G2020 2.9ghz
Mobo: Asus P8 H61-m LX3 r2.0
Psu: Corsair VS450 (450W)
RAM: Transcend 8gb ddr3
HDD: Seagate 1TB 7200rpm
OS: Windows 7 64bit

Hope someone here can help me.. I'd really appreciate it. I don't want my 1st graphic card to end up in a disaster. :( Thank you for your help.

Hi again,
The problem seems to be solved. I did a fresh install of Windows 10 and now it seems to work without issues. Win 7 looks too buggy and incompatible for these recent cards. I guess that's all it needed. Thanks for everyone's help.

I did not have a graphic card before this.. This is my first. I've installed the latest drivers from nvidia website and also the provided dvd. Nothing works.

To piggy-back onto SgtScream... Ensure to delete any and all folders relating to old/current GPU drivers as well when doing the delete(s). Question, are there any updates available for your mobo, and if so, I'd read the verbage as to what it/they may relate to, if so.

Some older mobo's have issues recognizing new-gen GPU's and manufacturers have recognized this, releasing BIOS updates which resolve compatibility issues. And on the other hand some just let it go, forcing you to stick with current hardware or upgrade, ground-up.

Uninstall the NVidia drivers and install the drivers from the posted link above.

Hi,
Sorry i didn't have the time to install the drivers from manufacturer website coz i have my card packed away and using mobo video right now. Ill try the install when i get the chance but im a bit worried coz it wont even let me install. When i click install it goes bsod.

Hi again,
Ok, this is what i did:
Installed the drivers from the manufacturer site - does not work.
Updated the bios - does not work.
Now im going to try to do a fresh install of the OS and see how it goes. I'll see how that goes and post here.

If these issues didn't happen prior to the graphics card upgrade, id suggest contacting ASUS to RMA the card.
Additionally, you could try taking the graphics card out of the build and plugging into onboard graphics on the motherboard, then run a memory test to see if there are any existing issue with your memory. You can run Memtest or the built in memory test in windows.
